For its 7th edition, the Healthtech Summit will return to Lausanne on June 21 - 22, 2016 and will once again focus on showcasing the top 20 medtech and top 20 digital health companies in Europe at the IMD (Institute for Management Development) campus. The 40 presenting companies, represented by their CEOs and carefully selected by our two top tier Selection Committees, will have the opportunity to network with key international investors who can assist them with their global expansion plans. Furthermore, the program will see a balanced and varied succession of corporate presentations, interactive panel discussions on opportunities related to accelerating investment in this sector as well as dedicated networking sessions and a Networking Dinner. The 2016 edition of the Healthtech Summit will focus on Medtech & Diagnostics and Digital Health.

Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme (AAL JP) is a European programme with the aim of enhancing the quality of life of older people and strengthening the industrial base in Europe through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
The programme is financed by the European Commission and the 22 countries that constitute the Partner States of this Joint Programme. The overall budget is of € 600 Mil to co-finance Research & Development & Innovation projects aiming to deliver concrete solutions for independent living or ‘ageing well’ of elderly people using ICT. Through the funding of new projects, the AAL JP aims to reinforce the European market for Ambient Assisted Living products and services.
The programme co-funds projects within user-driven-innovation paradigm between a minimum three partners from AAL JP Partner States. The time-frame for market introduction is two to three years after the end of the project. All projects have a human centric approach as the end users are involved from the very beginning of the project life-cycle.
Six calls for proposal were launched so far and a new one is in the publication phase.The second phase of the programme is under discussion but and it is likely to continue until 2020
